About Course

Electrolytes are an important part of our body and almost all reactions in the body require the involvement of one or the other. The important electrolytes include Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Calcium, Phosphate, Bicarbonate, and Magnesium. In these lectures, we shall see the implications of the increase or decrease of these important chemicals. The changes in HCO3 are discussed in a separate course on the blood gas assessment.
