Objective structured practical examination
About Course
Objective structured practical examination (OSPE), also at times called objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), has replaced the old table viva, which included direct assessment of the candidate by the examiner, by most universities. OSPE/OSCE consists of multiple stations through which all candidates are rotated to be exposed to the same clinical scenarios, instruments, and drugs. Some of these stations are static stations without examiners; others are interactive stations where examiners interact with candidates. The examiners are provided with standardized keys of all stations. This not only provides a uniform assessment of all candidates but also reduces the examiner bias to a very substantial degree.
This video will help you with few typical cases, usual instruments, and X-rays/CT scans to prepare your OSPE/OSCE. There is a separate lecture for the basics of ECG and sample ECGs
